Job Description

VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking a Technician Assistant to join our 24-hour Emergency/Critical Care, Specialty and General Practice. VetSpecs is looking for a highly motivated, passionate individual to join us in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $16 - $18 per hour

Shifts: Flexible Schedule – Weekend Availability

Job Description:

As an extension of the medical team, the technician assistant supports the veterinarians and veterinary technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all pets and ensures a safe and effective hospital environment. Candidates need to possess strong communication skills, be highly-motivated, and able to handle high volume of tasks. Need to be able to be active throughout the day and lift at least 40 lbs. Applicable experience preferred.

The Technician Assistant Responsibilities Include:

  • Animal Restraint;

  • Cleaning and stocking;

  • Running in-house lab work;

  • Assisting with hands-free radiology;

  • After-Care for patients
