Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is currently recruiting an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologists for our Internal Medicine Department!
This role works closely with our Internal Medicine specialist to provide excellent care to patients requiring this service. This is a full time position for maternity leave, approximately 1 year. The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care and technical skills including anesthesia for endoscopy, as well as a keen interest in building and maintaining relationships with pet parents. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement on various cases.
Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role:
Have completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program.
Physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.
Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
Passion to learn more within the role.

Schedule: 30 hours per week: 3 days, 10 hours per shift.
Compensation: $19.00 to $38.00 per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
