VCA Animal Hospitals Oncologist in Ontario, California

VCA California Veterinary Specialists (https://vcahospitals.com/california-veterinary-specialists-ontario/team) in Ontario, CA is seeking a board certified or residency trained Oncologist to join our team in the heart of Southern California’s San Bernardino County.

Our innovative team of multidisciplinary specialists provides Southern California with a network of specialty and critical care hospitals at three state of the art facilities: CVS Ontario (San Bernardino County), CVS Murrieta (Riverside County), and CVS Carlsbad (San Diego County).

Within our hospital and sister locations, we have specialists in surgery, internal medicine, medical and radiation oncology, and radiology and an experienced 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care staff. We are a teaching institution with an active surgical residency program and a popular rotating internship program. We have a modern and bright 14,000 sq ft. hospital with 10 exam rooms, 3 surgical suites, with state-of-the-art equipment including 1.5 Tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, laparoscopic and thorascopic instrumentation, endoscopy, multiple ultrasounds, and computed tomography with automatic injector and in-house lab. With the creation of VCA’s Pet CancerCare Alliance™, (https://vimeo.com/355235694/8589ef04c0) you can be a part of a unique brain trust of over 65 veterinary oncologists and a network of over 35 Pet CancerCare Centers across North America. Our Medical, Radiation and Surgical Oncologists work together to bring advanced treatments, technology and education to all veterinarians by providing collaborative care, research, clinical trials and leadership to help ensure that pets are living their best possible lives.

Our new Oncologist will have access to an existing referral base committed to these services. The successful candidate will participate in community outreach in a supportive structure but this is not a situation where the service needs to be built from scratch. With over 100 hospitals that actively refer cases and continuously come through the door, building a loyal following will not pose a problem for the right candidate.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $200,00 to $300,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
