Job Purpose/Overview

Senior Test Manager oversees the automation and manual testing of multiple global development teams developing solutions using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This includes overseeing the testing work done by both in-house and outside vendors. This role will manage the SDET Automation Lead and individual testers on the Agile teams

The Senior Test Manager will lead innovative digital solutions to production. This role will collaborate with the R&D leadership team, developers, product owners, project managers, and business leaders in ensuring thorough, efficient, and quality testing through both automation and manual testing. This person will also coordinate project-level testing efforts and ensure consistency with the project objectives and customer needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee testing efforts done by 6+ teams which includes internal teams and vendors

  • Ensure proactive communications to leadership and functions within and outside of IT

  • Create metrics and dashboards utilizing Azure DevOps to provide insights into V&V activities

  • Coach teams in ideal testing where testing starts with the developer and the tester is part of the development

  • Drive the constant goal of continuous improvement in quality and efficiency

  • Ensure thorough testing on risks and dependencies within the projects and programs

Education and Experience

  • B.S. or higher with 7+ years working in software testing.

  • 5+ years working on Enterprise-level applications

  • 3+ years leading a test team

  • Experience leading multiple test teams is preferred

  • Working in Pet Health and/or a regulated environment is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience and knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Proven track record of delivering products in a predictable and timely manner

  • Experience working with multiple teams and ARTs in parallel

  • Creative and enthusiastic for doing what it takes to delight our customers

  • Ability to understand technical requirements

  • Desire to learn the domain and grow in their career

Travel

Percent of time: 10%

Working Conditions

The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment including use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting. Temperature extremes will be minimal to nonexistent. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, data base management, email, and the Internet. The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system. The associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.

The Target Pay Range for this position is $124,520 - $165,000 Annually. At Mars, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
