VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Experienced RVT or Veterinary Assistant to join our General Practice Surgery Department.

VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic, located Northeast of Sacramento, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our one-of-a-kind veterinary hospital!

We have a supportive and fun team of board-certified specialists in internal medicine, surgery, critical care, anesthesia, cardiology, and radiology, as well as a large team of rock-star ER clinicians and general practice veterinarians who would love to collaborate with you.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate nursing care for all patients

• Completing treatments for outpatient or hospitalized patients

• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement

• Assisting veterinarians with surgical procedures and monitoring anesthesia

• Triaging and stabilizing incoming emergency patients

• Participate in client communication and education, explaining the administration of medications, follow-up care, diet recommendations, and general animal care

VCA Animal Hospital offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance. 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, and health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $26.00 per hour.
