VCA Timberlyne Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant with at least 2 years experience to join our expanding hospital!
About Us
VCA Timberlyne is a fast paced, AAHA-accredited 3 doctor practice offering a wide range of services for dogs, cats
We provide routine medical care, surgery, dentistry including full mouth dental radiographs, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, integrative medicine, and acupuncture coming soon! Our growing practice prioritizes medical and behavioral care and is working on becoming a Fear Free Certified Practice, with most of the team certified so far.
We encourage and empower our technicians and assistants to utilize their skills, have input into case management & patient care, think critically, work autonomously, and further their knowledge & education.
We are open Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturday 8am - 1pm, closed Sunday.

About the Role
As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. We are seeking candidates with a desire to grow within the veterinary field. Duties will include:
Compassionate patient care
Client education and care
Venipuncture and catheter placement
Radiology and diagnostics
Lab sample collection and processing
Surgical preparation and assisting
Anesthesia monitoring
Dentistry
Medication preparation and administration
Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
Medical recordkeeping
Qualifications:
Veterinary Assisting experience required
Proficiency with veterinary technical skills strongly preferred, including anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry
Compensation:
- Starts in the mid to high teens per hour depending on relevant experience, skills and education
